Meet Sarah

Hi! I’m Sarah. I’m a certified Educational Therapist who works with families and schools in Los Angeles and New York City. I’m trained in Lindamood-Bell® and Wilson® programs, and I have over 10 years experience working with elementary through high school aged students.

I’m one of the lucky ones that loves what I do.

Working one-on-one with clients gives me the deep connection and precious space to make a real impact. I love being able to customize learning plans for my clients, working across different programs suitable for their needs, and tailored to their learning profiles. The relationships I build with the clients I see weekly – and their families and school teams I talk to regularly – are what make my work seriously joyful.

It wasn’t until I was an adult that I learned to trust and trust my strengths. Possessing the confidence and tenacity to push through the hard parts of life is invaluable, and that is what I want for my clients. That is why I do what I do.

My Approach

My therapeutic approach is empathy-forward. I lead with my heart to cultivate trusting, individualized relationships with my clients and their families. When there is trust, we feel safe. When we feel safe, skills are able to be learned and built upon. Once the skills are put into practice, the true growth begins.

Many of my clients have developed the belief that they’ll always struggle. My work is to remind them that while there will always be challenges in life, we can be equipped to handle them. When learners accept themselves as in the process, they open up more possibilities of succeeding, because they quit fighting themselves along the way.

In sessions I lead my clients to:

  • Feel safe to make mistakes
  • Feel proud of their successes
  • Build compassion and understanding for themselves as learners and individuals
  • Increase attention and sustained focus on tasks
  • Tackle big projects by learning to create small action steps
  • Advocate for themselves
  • Organize their time, schoolwork, and extracurriculars

My goals for every student are ultimately aligned. I work to reignite their love of learning, lean into their challenge areas with grace and tenacity, and lead them in fostering their independence.
